I have some code to take serial NMEA data from a GPS and print position, = heading, time, and speed at selectable intervals. I can send you the cod= e if you want it. The printer interface part of the code is very simple. I also have PC boards and enclosures if anyone else wants a ready made se= ria in, printer out solution. It has two optocoupled serial inputs, a DB= -25 printer connector, and uses a 28 pin PIC.
