William: What you need is an IR receiver module that already includes a very narrow bandpass filter and a lot of clean amplification. They're cheap, and they're available from any of the catalog distributors (Digi-Key, Newark, Allied, etc.). Any one of those integrated modules will produce MUCH better results than a discrete solution. -Andy === Andrew Warren - fastfwd@ix.netcom.com === Fast Forward Engineering - San Diego, California === http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/2499 -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
