I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who responded to this, Scott, Andy,
Bob, Thomas, Olin, David et al.  It's given me something to think about, and
I think I need to step back and examine the options.  The main trouble is I
have virtualy nothing in the way of a software spec for this project, I just
have to get something "working", in as short a time as possible...I'm sure
others have been here!!
