Hi

I am limited by mechanical restrictions in a project.  A LCD module with a
mechanical width of 40mm or less must be used.  I got hold of a OPTREX
DMC-50448 character LCD module (8 char by 2 line), which is not standard
with backlight, a requirement for the project.

After e-mailing OPTREX I did not receive any answer from them requesting if
they can supply the module with backlight.

How easy is it to add backlight?  Comments of similar experiences and
solutions are welcome.
