I got a reply to a query about line generator lenses

Good news - a range of lenses available from US$9 - US$75
Bad news - minimum order US$200

At the current bargain basement price of NZ$1 = US$0.40 that
means at least $500, + freight + costs on top of that. Not worth it
for a prototype with no firm customer

I'll be looking, but if anyone has a good link to a description of line
generator lenses so I can see if it's going to be practical to get one
made locally or even make it myself, or lenses in general so I can
read up on them, that would be appreciated
