0100,0100,0100Hello, Anybody knows of a communication software that can operate under the following circumstances: 1. One stationary windows 95 computer has to automatically connect to various remote mobile dos computers over a GSM mobile phone modem at predefined times, a couple of times every week, to transfer files between the stationary windows computer and the mobile dos computers. 2. The communication software in the dos machine should run idle in the background until an incoming call wakes it up, where it should either suspend the main task or continue running in the background, starting to transmit and receive files on commands from the main windows computer. 3. When the transfer session ends, the com software should return to idle mode waiting for another call, while it lets the main application continue. 4. Preferably the windows software should be able to carry out some sort of scripting, with which it should be able to delete successfully transferred files, both locally and on the remote mobile dos computer. I have tried pcAnywhere but have not got it to work. Mainly because of incompatibilities in script processing between the dos computer and the windows computer. I have also tried to run the dos version on the windows machine with no success. The application is a data logger for garbage trucks, where the collected data is id of the garbage bin and wheight for the emptied garbage which is used for billing information for the customers. Route lists are also downloaded to the computer in the garbage truck. Anybody knows of another communication software that I could use here?
