A piece of glass rod, I.E. a cylindrical lens, will do the trick for you.
The problem is that laser will be more intense in the center then at the
edges.  If you cut a slit in a piece of material to create and apperature
to chop off the weak sides it will help substantionally.  If you make your
own you will also have to machine a lens holder.  Its probably just simpler
