Does anyone know of a web page that gets into the nitty-gritty of
manchester encoded bit-banged comms?

In particular, I'm puzzled by how you handle periods where there is no
carrier, so there is a lot of noise on the data line, and the transition
into receiving the first part of the data. (How do I really know this is real?)
