        Corrosion. Sometimes a via can get corroded in a point it inserts a=
 significant resistance on the circuit, or even interrupt a circuit. When=
 it happens, as you say, it's a "pain in the ass" to fix. I've seen lots of=
 cases of things like this happening. And it's always hard to troubleshoot.=
 you only find the fault when you have nothing else to see.
