I am a newbie to the world of PIC microcontrollers, but am quite familiar
with basic electronics and BASIC language. While I was browsing for a PIC
Basic compiler (preferably a shareware), I came across CHBasic from
www.celestialhorizons.com. I found their bronze version quite interesting
and very useful in learning to program a PIC microcontroller. This Windows
program has a user-friendly interface and as soon as you enter the basic
command, the assembly language instructions appear in another window. Are
there other programs that work in a similar fashion?

I would highly appreciate helpful responses.
