One of my customers decided not to pick up and purchase a computer which they had previously ordered. Rather than disassembling it and returning the parts I am interested in selling it at cost. If you are interested in a inexpensive box useful for a number of uses, read on: The system consists of four items: LI-7000 from Soyo $175 533MHz Celeron Processor$115 32MB PC100 SDRAM $40 USED 800MB HD $free The LI-7000 is commonly referred to as a BookPC or all-in-one system (these smaller computers are becoming more common, slightly taller than a VCR, but not as wide). It includes on board: Realtek 10/100 Ethernet (RTL8139B) AGP SVGA (2x, sharing memory with processor) TV out (composite and S-video) One PCI and one AMR (V1.0) slot (AMR is often used for ultra-cheap winmodems) Sound (software audio codec, AC97) Two serial, one parallel, FDD (2 devices), HDD (4 devices) Supports boot from IDE, SCSI, CD-ROM, FDD, LS120, ZIP Health monitoring: Voltages: VCore VTT + and - 5v + and - 12v 3.3v 5VSB Battery CPU fan speed control (4 speed) and monitor) CPU temp (On die thermal diode) Physical: 36.3cm x 31.5cm x 8.5cm (14.3"x 12.4"x 3.3") One exposed 5.25" drive bay One exposed 3.5" drive bay One Hidden 3.5" drive bay FRONT: IrDA Transciever Audio: speaker out, mic, and line 2 USB ports BACK: RJ45 Ethernet 1 Parallel 2 Serial 1 Game PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse ports 1 RCA composite 1 S-Video 1 VGA 100W power supply There are a number of other features, but I think you get the idea, and you can find out more from the web site listed above. Please note that there is NO operating system included! I have win95 on the HD for testing and demoing, but the HD will be formatted before leaving my business. The HD is used, but for the price you can't beat it. I'd give it another 3 years before it experiences its first bad block error (but no gurantees for the HD). All parts are covered by my business (Micro Basics) with a 1 year limited warranty (Parts and labor). Since I am selling this at cost, there will be a 10% restocking fee if you change your mind after unpackaging it. So for $330 you get a complete celeron system (w/o monitor, keyboard/mouse, and OS). I've had customers install a TV card and DVD, some software and making their own digital VCR. Another uses these for thin clients (no HD, floppy or CD. Has a compactflash IDE adaptor and 8MB CF card.) The only thing it doesn't have is a modem. I'm actually glad it doesn't, as I eschew winmodems anyway, and those are usually the only kind included on board for many computers now . Shipping will be approx $20. Extra money would be appreciated, but I don't keep stock on hand, and would like to put the money elsewhere. This system is one month old, has been turned on and burned in for 3 days total. If you need Windows 98 installed, I can add that for $199. If you buy a HD and Windows 98, I can get you a 15GB HD for $95 and windows 98 for $99 (bundled) so the HD and windows together would add $194. Add $40 for a total of 64MB of memory. Add $15 for a floppy, and $40 for a CD-ROM. Please email me off-list with questions and comments. I prefer shipping within the continental US (I know, I need to be more multinational...), and would ship via UPS ground (4 days or less in the US, 2 days in the midwest) Or you can come to Ann Arbor, Michigan and pick it up yourself. -Adam Micro Basics Computer Consulting P.S. I /love/ these systems! Great for gaming (not spectacular), wonderful for a workbench computer (little space), easy to toss into a car and take with you for LAN parties, LUGs/BUGs, etc. Very cute! I can post pictures if interested (Soyo changed the site this month, no more front and rear-panel pictures! Bah.) -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
