I'm feeding it with 5 > volts thru a Diode, but have got a 3.4 volts NICAD connected to it > thru a Diode too. Whenever I've got the clock calibrated for one > voltage, the other voltage let's it either run too fast or slow. > Rudy Wieser The data book shows that VDD should be 2.5 - 6.0 with I2C active and 1.0 - 6.0 with I2C inactive. VDDosc out for the crystal is 1.0 - 6.0V. This covers both of your voltages. Have you got a "funny" crystal ? Tried any others ? I'll check one of my 8593s tomorrow -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
