Dear all, Thanks very much indeed for all your advice about crystals (also telemetry). I'm tempted to go for the single 76.8kHz crystal solution. I've decided that the only way to settle the arguement about power consumption is to try it out on the bench. I notice that one company (ECS Inc. - p296 of the new DigiKey catalog) does sell a watch-crystal sized 1MHz crystal, but it costs $7! Anybody know of any other miniature crystals?
