I found an old LCD display (80 char/row, at least 10 rows) that had the usual Oki row/column drivers behind the display itself, but on the motherboard was the real brain of the LCD display - the Hitachi HD64645. Unfortunately, like many other Japanese semiconductor companies, they don't have much data online about their chips, and I suspect that this one in particular has been discontinued a long time ago. So, would anyone happen to have a datasheet, or databook, describing this controller chip? I was actually going to use it as a wireless (434 MHz) terminal and put a PIC16F877 to control the whole thing. -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
