If you have M$ Office components loaded, FindFast will do this to you. Fonts are another horrible thing - don't load them if you don't need to. You can store them offline in a separate directory from \windows\fonts and just copy them in as needed. I have a Win95 box that hasn't been scrubbed in 4 years, and still runs well (considering it's a 133).
