Unfortunately this won't work. The display has NO graphic ram. In other words, you are allowed to define 8 of the 256 characters in the character generator ROM/RAM. When the display refreshes, it matches the display ram (80 bytes) byte by byte to the character generator ROM/RAM and spits out the character to the display. If you write the 8 user defined characters to the display, then change their definitions, they will change on the display. -Adam MILTON MEDICINTEKNIK KB wrote: > > Best Andre, > > You have by now recieved several good and clearifying answers, as I came back. Like you find, the letters need a bit of detail to be clear, and the special caracters mode would apply. > > My idia is that you would need more special char's. than 8. But, you would have to REDEFINE these as you go-along. The display doesn't change, once data is written into the RAM of the display. > > Sven -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
