You can't do this, as the CG RAM is used dynamically during display
refresh. There is no bitmap display RAM - only the character buffer,
which is passed through CG RAM or ROM in real time to generate the
pixel patterns
If you redefine a character that is currently onscreen, it will change
immediately.=20
