Well my local Lattice Semi rep made me an offer I could'nt refuse; ispDesignExpert full commercial package ($$$) for free ;-) I have years of experience with Lattice and had been using their starter software which has many of the features of the commercial package but notably lacked VHDL/Verilog HDL synthesis and simulation. So now I'm looking for a good book on VHDL to get up to speed as soon as possible. I've studied a lot of VHDL code in recent years but I would like a good reference. I'm also interested in any web-based sites that cover the language. I seem to recall Cypress (?) $99 package use to come with a good book on the subject. Thanks. BTW, there was some interest in my SRAM Address Generator and Chip Select CPLD based on the Lattice ispLSI1016E. At the time I noticed that the price had gone up $2 at one distributor and $4 at the other. My rep says that's ridiculous and the price for single units should be $6 dropping to $4 in small quantity so I may consider selling programmed parts. Again, you can download the JEDEC file for free and you can build a simple download cable and get the download software for free.
