For this sort of thing they do have commercial wireless boxes,
900 Mhz I believe, that you can simple your TV/Stereo directly
into. Under $100 USD. I used to see adverts in Damark, but Circus
City and others may carry them. They look like little flying
saucers on pedestals.

These boxes are basically too large for the local home data
network I was talking about on the Cordless Phone Hack thread.
