I suspect this type of network would have some serious long-range
interference problems from the rest of the cellular system. 900 Mhz
cordless does have the advantage of being designed for very short
range, so you will hopefully have minimal problems with your
neighbor 2 houses away.

But your method does have the advantage that there is lots of
technical information out there in the hacker/cracker/phracker/
phreaker community. I still haven't found anything on the web
about "cordless" - as opposed to "cellular" - hacks.
