> I'm not 100% sure but I do believe that FLASH != EPROM. Yes, FLASH is one type of EPROM (Electrically Programmable Read Only Memory). FLASH can be correctly described as EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory), however I think there are some trademark restrictions on FLASH (not totally sure) whereas EEPROM is a generic term. Sort of like "Kleenex" versus "facial tissue" (again, I'm not totally sure about this). ***************************************************************** Olin Lathrop, embedded systems consultant in Devens Massachusetts (978) 772-3129, olin@cognivis.com, http://www.cognivis.com -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
