The general convention is that unless otherwise specified, In and Out
refers to the device it is written on, and nothing else. Therefore the
connections should be Out -> Xin and Xout -> In. But, conventions are made
to be broken. Anyway most resonators work both ways in my experience, so
you can't check like this ? ;-). How about asking the manufacturer ?
