Hi,
I just remember today a possible solution for a question asked few days
ago, about linear actuator.
Selectronic, in France, (www.selctronic.fr) sells small linear actuator
that uses Shape Memory Alloy, (from Flexinol, AFAIK)
It is roughly 100 mm long, 10 mm dia. It's travel is 20 mm with a 1 pound
load, according to the ad
The only problem I see is it needs 1volt 5 Amp to actuate.
