Have a look at that :CueCat thing at RadioShack - the barcode reader you get with their catalog. It has special software (and if you don't install it, you get strange encoded text at the insertion point whenever you scan a barcode), but you can get software that will decode it's special coded text into standard ASCII. Look for "Cue Cat" at www.planetsourcecode.com/vb/ - VB required. It does work with UPCs. I've tried it. -Randy Glenn PICxpert-at-home.com PICxpert-at-picxpert.com PICxpert-at-yahoo.com Randy_Glenn-at-tvo.org http://www.picxpert.com/ Those packing a big grudge, usually pack a big mouth along with it. -----Original Message----- From: pic microcontroller discussion list [mailto:PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU]On Behalf Of Mark Willis Sent: Thursday, September 14, 2000 6:35 PM To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU Subject: [PICLIST] [OT]: Where to find Barcode Readers?
