Look out here --- you'll raise the hackles of the C++ guys. They'll tell you
to replace your switch-case statement with a bunch of classes with a virtual
method. :-)

(which btw isn't a bad idea - in the appropriate environment - which is
usually _not_ a resource limited microcontroller)
