Hi, if it has encoder (signalling) on one end of the motor it
is probably a DC motor. I have pulled a couple of these from old
printers, very expensive good quality DC motors too.

Try attaching DC to the main wires, see if it spins! :o)
(keep voltage low, 3v is a good motor test)
