current sensing is nice. if implemented with care you might also avoid killing any person / animal that has its head out of the window when the window tries to shut. If on the other hand you are interfacing to a existing window mechanism it may well have this sort of circuitry in it already... if car manufacturers are not obliged to take this precaution then they should be... an easier sensor for you might to to us an optical sensor of some kind - when the metal arm that pushes up the glass gets in the way of the beam the window is up?
