Pity no external bus.. I have in my junkbox somewhere, a pair of DACs tied
to a 40 pin clip (for Z-80 systems) that output X and Y information to an
Oscilliscope. This plots where your code is running, in realtime. It came
in handy for debugging, back when we couldn't afford ICEs.

No help for microcontrollers though, since you can't see where the code is
executing externally.
