> I have been seeing "Processor could not be halted..." a LOT now. > But if I reset and "run to here" again, it often works... I ran into that a few times where it didn't make sense either (ICE powered up, target board powered up, etc). It turned out that the connector where the power supply cord plugs into the ICE 2000 isn't what it should be. I got rid of my problems by pushing it in REAL HARD. I can sometimes even see the lights on the front of the unit blink if the power cable isn't absolutely in all the way. > And it looks like the old ASYNC port problem is back in the latest version. > BTFSC TXSTA, TRMT and it shows the bit SET but it still skips to the next > instruction. Keep in mind that the ICE often shows the true I/O state several cycles late, although the bits are actually right inside the processor. ***************************************************************** Olin Lathrop, embedded systems consultant in Devens Massachusetts (978) 772-3129, olin@cognivis.com, http://www.cognivis.com -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
