Hello everyone,

This is my first mail to this list..

I am going to develop a small PIC-based device hooked to 10BaseT.
I browsed through the PIC-list archive and found some very interesting
sites, for example
* The (unofficial) PICmicro On-Line Tutorial

* Embedded Ethernet (http://www.embeddedethernet.com),
and Dennis Petrov's home page.

What I am looking for is an ethernet controller that is not surface mounted.
I am afraid that it is too difficult to sold surface mounted devices by
hand.
My intention is to build everything on an experiment circuit board
(in my home country Sweden, these boards are called Vero-Boards).

So I wonder if anybody can help me finding an Ethernet controller which is
not surface mounted.
