Hi All, I'm just preparing the Linux tool for working with Wouter's very nice WLoader. In fact the tool is almost ready, however I've faced a very strange problem. I used a simple terminal emulator (written by my own) to check the WLoader's protocol. Everything works fine, except two commands: abcdW and abcdL after DX command. When I issue any of these two commands, the WLoader hangs (to say strictly fails to respond to any following commands, only the "hardware echo" works ). I can see only two causes: 1) Bug in WLoader (almost impossible I hope) 2) Problem with power supply. (The PIC is connected with rather long wires and has only two ferroelectric 100nF caps paralelly to the power supply pins). (Maybe programming of data EEPROM requires much more current than programming of code memory, which causes voltage drop and crash) Did anybody faced such a problem and found the correct solution? -- Wojciech Zabolotny http://www.ise.pw.edu.pl/~wzab http://www.debian.org Use Linux - save your data and time -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics (like ads or off topics) for you.
