I have a couple of the 18C252/JW's as sample parts. The die is huge in PIC terms, I guess memory dosen't shrink as well as the cpu core. I'm looking forward to the 18F252, all this UV light stuff is annoying :o) Had the Microchip guys down recently showing the new product lines comming up. They are pushing forward quite a few new flash based products. The flash version of the 16C7X series will be out soon apparently. There will be no 16C6X flash equivalents as they don't sell as many as the 7X variants, and the extra A/D dosen't cost too much. But moving from a 16F87X to the 16F7X will give a reasonable cost saving if you don't need the enhanced functions.
