Hi all, I am new to pics and have a question. I have a 16F877 talking to an LCD display using 8line data interface. It displays text fine. Now it just occured to me that I want to display more than just text. My application is going to read the onboard 10 bit A/D converter and do some comparisons with the results. I think I have that ok. Next, I need to be able to convert that to a voltage value that was read (range in is 0 to 5 volts) and display it on the LCD and send it out an RS-232 port to a PC. I have the RS-232 working as well via the USART onboard the pic. Any ideas to convert the 10 bit word to the voltage and then to display it (convert to BCD then to ascii ?) and transmit it via RS-232 or point me to some existing code routines would be greatly appreciated. I remember doing this in school but that was over 15 years ago, I've slept since then :) Thanks, Charles -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics (like ads or off topics) for you.
