We eat tomatoes and lemons too, but their juices will dissolve aluminum foil easily. 2. Beeswax is pretty pure, but there may be trace contaminations of acids and salts, depending on the commercial source. (Beehive wax is quite impure!) 3. Another issue with using waxes is that they melt! (That's how candles work.) So the hot electronic parts will create holes.
