is a HML (Humor Markup Language) code for a GRIN! Its the short form of which I prefer. Another example is for Very Big Grin. These are related to emoticons (where a grin would be :) or :> or like that) but are easier to parse from the source text. I'm sure that someone will be able to supply a link to the official web site for all know HML and emoticon codes. At some point in the future, email address will link to a set of photographs of the senders face and your mail reader will read (via text-to-speech) the message while animating the face to move the lips, etc... When this system sees or it will pause and display a shot of the senders mug with a big toothy grin. It will be referred to as progress. President Bill Gates will demo it as an integral feature of Outlook 2001 (which all citizens will be required to use) and the face will wink at an in-opportune moment resulting in the dismissal/execution of entire divisions of your government. Finally, when posting a reply to a thread that takes the thread off topic, please change the subject line topic tag accordingly. For example, I've changed the [PIC]: to [OT]: in this post. I'm new to this listing biz and I'm not familiar with it's lingo. By the way- using a PIC to do web serving is rocket science- for me! :-) Thanks, Robert ----- Original Message ----- From: Andrew Kunz To: Sent: Monday, July 24, 2000 3:21 PM Subject: Re: [PIC]:Circuit Cellar wining projects > Congrats! > > Does this mean a PIC web server is rocket science? > > Andy > > > > > > > > > > > Kev on 07/24/2000 05:08:42 AM > > Please respond to pic microcontroller discussion list > > > > > > > > > To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU > > cc: (bcc: Andrew Kunz/TDI_NOTES) > > > > Subject: [PIC]:Circuit Cellar wining projects > > > > > > > > > I haven't seen this on the list & thought people may find it interesting.... > > Last fall, Circuit Cellar Online announced their design contest > for 2000: "Connect the Microchip PIC to the Internet".
