You may need a series capacitor to make sure that you don't put too much C on the gate. Then you have to make sure that you have enough level at the destination to drive it's input. At best, this will be something that works, but tends to pull you off frequency, unless adjusted for. At worst, all your prototypes will work, and your production models won't.
