I wonder if it's time to create different versions of MPLAB to cater for
the different PIC series.

1 for 12Cxxx 16C(F)xxx
1 for 18Cxxx
1 for 17Cxxx

I'm sure it would be a lot less complicated and easier to maintain this
way.
