Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone could offer advice as to how to get started learning about ethernet (interfaces) (I think that's what I need...). I'm trying to learn more about ethernet and how it work on the hardware level. All I presently know is that it works great for networking computers (as well as some protocol stuff--TCP/IP, etc.). :) What I ultimately want to do is to be able to build stuff and hook it up to my computer (for control) via UTP cable (and, well, whatever other interfaces are necessary as well). I'm not quite sure (at this point) what I need as far as interface/controller chips, which is why I'm mailing the list. I hope I don't sound too dumb here; if I do, well, just bear in mind that I really want to learn! :) Cheers, -- ~Keith tsk3000@techie.com http://pages.prodigy.net/tsk3000/ ICQ UIN: 15590177 AOL Instant Messenger: tsk3000a
