Hello group of all knowing people:

My PIC 16F873 based uses a UNL2003A Darlington transistor array rated at
500 ma at 50V. I'm sinking 24 VDC through 2 cicuits parallel to give me 1
amp capability, something the spec sheets says I can do. Unfortunately, one
device draws more than 1 amp due to onrush current at startup and the
UNL2003 is destroyed. I've piggybacked two UNL2003's and it works OK.

My question - is there a pin for pin compatible device with maybe 750ma
capability?
