     They have a PIC based device that does what you want.

Hello.
As the subject says, Anyone knows how or where to find information for
play music (cd audio) with a cdrom drive (without a computer :-)?.

What kind of commands, and if neccesarily I need a IDE controller to do that,
my idea is to make an audio CD deck using a pic, an inexpensive LCD display
and a standard CDROM drive.
