Can you mirror image your display by reversing the connections to the horizontal deflection winding on the yoke of your monitor? How do you manage to get the convergence signals to work correctly on a reversed deflection? Somewhere you said your video was RGB so I'm assuming you're using a color monitor. One can also mirror a display digitally. You just need a fast A/D, D/A and a bit of RAM. Basically you digitize the video, and store it into one bank of RAM, while you're reading out the OTHER bank of RAM in reverse order (xor on the address lines makes this reverse addressing trivial to do, and lets you use a common counter chain). This has the advantage of allowing you to use 'standard' monitors as replacements, and to use big screen TVs etc. without mods. (Most LCD projectors have a mirroring function). > Thus, we need to mirror the text before the display, Could you not use a small front surface mirror in front of the camera to do this reversal optically? It could also make your project thinner (depending on how long your camera is). Of course you may already be using a mirror, which is what caused this problem in the first place. Maybe if we had a few more details on what you're trying to do we could come up with a more optimal solution.
