Unfortunately nothing like MPLAB exists for any OS other than Windows.  You
might try using MPLAB under WINE (windows emulator).  Wine is still considered
beta, but it should be good enough for MPLAB.

Alternately, take Scott's GPSIM, GPASM, and you favorite text editor as glue and
you can create your own IDE.
