I had a few 12c509's that had the die off-centered in them and couldn't figure out why they wouldn't erase until I changed their orientation in the chip eraser. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Pringle" To: Sent: Wednesday, May 24, 2000 8:26 AM Subject: PIC Won't erase Hi All, I have a PIC16C64B, which is supposed to be UV erasable. I have tried sticking it under a UV lamp for 30 minutes, but there seems to be no corruption or any signs that the chip has been erased. The HEX code looks exactly as it was when I programmed it. Does anyone know how long the chip must stay in UV light? The UV light box I am using, is actually meant for developing PCB's, but I'm have been told, it has been used to erase EPROMS.
