OK, how about this then. DigiKey has 10-pin 2mm sockets for $1.29 in onesies (3m1010-ND, page 37) Strip headers for $1.04 lower on the same page. Solder the 2mm socket onto your PC board with the Flash, and encapsulate with any of a number of different goodies in a nice rectangular blob shape to fit the front panel (Ask me off list if you don't have favorites there, or want brainstorming.)
