I've been asked to look into an RFID project and need help with
a couple of questions

1) the chips are to be used around fuel lines and petrol vapour
will be present. I read in the app notes that the reader may have
a excitation range of 5Vpp to 200Vpp. Any source of ignition
must be eliminated, so could I have some feedback about what
reading range I could expect at low read voltages, and eg what
effects could I expect from metal panelling near the tags - are
they directional ?

2) For a simple read-only tag system would 150kHz or 13.56MHz
chips be suitable ? Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see any significant
difference between the two types apart from speed. The app I'm
thinking of has no great need for speed
