I use Quickbooks for my accounts and Parts & Vendors (http://www.trilogy.com) for my inventory control. P&V has been done with electronics in mind so it can handle things that seem to be particular to the electronics industry. eg 2 parts with the same part number from different manufacturers but the same vendor. It also allows you to link documents, hex files, etc into the BOM structure so it works really well as a general, small business management tool. Quickbooks counts beans, which as far as bean-counters are concerned, is all there is to it.
