Can you limit the bandwidth of those chips? You can't with the chips used on those ISA PC card FM receivers. That makes listening to narrow band FM basically impossible least in San Diego, CA USA. That's because we have soooooo much FM communications going on. My little ICOM IC-Q7 does an OK job, though. I don't think a hobbyist can pack as much guts into as small a package as that is.
