No, but there is (should still be) LCD info of this sort on my site. You need to make a PCB (too many wires not to - been there, done that). http://www.montanadesign.com Andy Midgley John on 05/03/2000 11:22:54 AM Please respond to pic microcontroller discussion list To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU cc: (bcc: Andrew Kunz/TDI_NOTES) Subject: LCD Needed (NOT 44780!) No really, not another 44780 question! I want to knock up a tacho, to read to about 2500rpm, displaying the result on a large 4 digit/7 segment display. If I were content with LED, this would be trivial. Sadly, I want to read it in bright sunlight (ever the optimist) so I need LCD. Ideally, a device with all the driver intelligence on-board, to avoid taxing my veroboard layout skills. Sounds like an ideal job for an alphanumeric LCD module, I know, but I need to read it a glance, at arms length. Am I looking for something that exists? Thanks in advance John Midgley
