Digikey shows Citizen xtals at 50 in the latest catalog, they don't appear to be 3rd overtone. I have a Scenix SX28-52 Demo Board, and the xtals there are labelled: ABRACON 50.000M-F AB 9703. Never heard of Abracon. Regarding what someone said about layout - layout on this bd is straightforward - and they actually have header jumpers to select xtal vs oscillator. You;d think if layout were really critical, this would kill it. There is a gnd plane under the xtal area, but I suspect it is there for EMI rather than a run-no-run issue. Also, I've been using Epson SG-531PH oscillators (not cheap, from Digikey) on my own boards. Been running the SX at 60 Mhz this way. best regards, - Dan Michaels Oricom Technologies http://www.sni.net/~oricom ==========================
