You can get one for $150 including a seminar. Look under "seminars" on the http://buy.microchip.com website. Couple of notes about this site: A) It is not reliable. B) It is slow C) Although it doesn't say this anywhere that I have seen, you must be "logged in" to view the products! D) Don't forget your log in password as the "email me my password" feature does not function. E) Don't expect the webmaster to respond to any communication on your part. I have a request for a link to piclist.com that is several months old and a few "this part of you web site isn't working" posts that apparently haven't been got around to either. I you want to sign up for a seminar, you might want to email events@mail.microchip.com or call the sales line at 408-436-7950 --- James Newton (PICList Admin #3) mailto:jamesnewton@piclist.com 1-619-652-0593 PIC/PICList FAQ: http://www.piclist.com or .org -----Original Message----- From: pic microcontroller discussion list [mailto:PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU]On Behalf Of M. The PICStart plus is one of the very few programmers which you don't have to tweak, integrates seamlessly into MPLAB, supports every PIC *before* it comes into production, is free to upgrade, etc, etc. Sometimes you can get a rep to sell you one for less than the usual $199, as well. (does digikey still sell the mechatronics kit? It was only $149 and came with a picstart plus, and a cool 8 LED ping pong game. It was never listed in their catalog...) -Adam "Ben R." wrote: > > Why does it seem that no one uses the PICSTART Plus programmer from > Microchip?
